An operating software (OS) is a collection of software allowing the computer to run as a useful device

Distributed OS controls and coordinates a collection of independent computers, that will appear to the user as though they are a single system.

Film animations and CGI, Long term data mining.

What is the purpose of a Real Time OS?
To carry out actions within a guaranteed amount of time. Usually responds in milliseconds.
