The very high temperatures cannot be recreated and would vapourise any materials in the reactor

What are advantages of nuclear power
Reliable, clean (does not produce acid rain or greenhouse gases), reduces reliability of fossils fuels, cheaper, lots of uranium on earth, generally safe, lots of energy is made

What are disadvantages of nuclear power
Expensive to build and decommision the buildings, meltdown, waste has a long half life, hard to dispose of

What is the current way we dispose of nuclear waste
Vitrification: melting in glass, placing in a steel canister then buring deep underground
