Newtons Laws of Motion

Testing knowledge on Newtons Laws of motion.

Pages 12 and 13 of the Edexcel AS physics Revision guide.

?
What is newtons first law of motion?
If the forces acting on a body are in equilibrium, its velocity will remain constant.
1 of 5
A submarine is moving forwards at a constant speed of 15 ms-1 and is ascending at a steady rate of 2ms-1. Choose the option that correctly compares the magnitudes of the forces
Upthrust = Weight; Thrust = Drag
2 of 5
Force equals
Mass x Accellaration
3 of 5
What is Newton's Second Law of motion?
Accellaration is proportional to the resultant force and inversely proportional to it's mass.
4 of 5
What is Newtons Third Law of motion
If body A exerts a force on body B, then body B exerts a force of the same type on body A that is equal in magnitude and opposite in direction
