Linear Momentum
(Of an object) is the product of the object's mass and velocity.
1 of 7
Newton's 1st Law Of Motion
A body will remain at rest or keep travelling with constant velocity unless acted upon by a resultant force.
2 of 7
Newton's 2nd Law Of Motion
The rate of change of momentum of an object is directly proportional to the applied resultant force and occurs in the direction of the resultant force.
3 of 7
Newton's 3rd Law Of Motion
When bodies interact, they exert equal and opposite forces on each other.
4 of 7
An Inelastic Collision
A collision in which kinetic energy is not conserved.
5 of 7
An Elastic Collision
A collision in which kinetic energy is conserved.
6 of 7
Impulse Of A Force
The product of the resultant force and the time for which the resultant force acts.
