How Effective were the Responses?
The responses were very effective because the 2002 people that were injured were able to seek medical aid. also, there was high sanitation meaning people did not have diseases. They were able to recover extremely quickly due to their quick restoration.

How does New Zealand Predict Earthquakes?
• Seismographs are used to record and measure earthquakes to that scientists can analyse any patterns.

• Birds and other animals can sense whether there is going to be an earthquake so they try to run/fly away, scientists monitor this.

How did it affect the population?
By June 2012, Christchurch city's population had fallen by more than 20,000 from 2010, as people moved out after the earthquakes. Christchurch's population only returned to pre-earthquake levels in 2017 – six years after the 2011 earthquake.
