Nervous system

?
What are the three main types of neurons?
Sensory: transmit nerve impulses from receptors to CNS. Motor: TRansmit nerve impulses from CNS to effectors. Relay: Transmit nerve impulses between sensory neurons and motor neurons.
1 of 6
Explain the structure of a sensory neuron.
Short dendrites with receptor cells and a long dendron with a cell body and short axon which carries nerve impulses to CNS.
2 of 6
Explain the structure of a motor neuron.
Short dendrites that carry nerve impulses from CNS to cell body. A long axon that carries nerve impulses from cell body to effector cells.
3 of 6
Explain the structure of a relay neuron.
Many short dendrites that carry nerve impulses from sensory neurons to the cell body and short axons which carry nerve impulses from cell body to motor neurons.
4 of 6
Describe the pathway of nervous communication.
Stimulus-receptors-(sensory neuron)-CNS-(motor neuron)-effectors-response.
5 of 6
Define transducer
Sensory receptors. Convert energy from one form of energy to another.
