- They have been baptised, teach their children to pray and believe in God

- their parents would have told them about God and they would believe their parents - taught in school about God and they will believe the teachers - praying, parents won't waste time - seeing ppl worship God in Mass

:) catholic upbringing = family together, united for Catholic activities. understanding whats wrong&right = good morals :( takes away child's human right to freedom of religion -work against community cohesion,Catholic kids think other religions rong

numinous ie; looking at the stars, great feeling lead them to believe. Conversion- commit themselves to God, feel God is calling them 2 do sumfin. Miracle- only cause is God so believing. Prayer- God listening ie answered prayer

:( numinous expedience = caused by surroundings, nothing to do with God. - All miracles can be explained, eg: Jesus may not have been dead, so he just recovered. - More unanswered prayers than answered.

- science can explain the design without needing God - only proves world has designer not necessarily God.

1)fits with common sense = everything can't come from nothing 2)makes sense of oursleves and it explains why we're here

1) if everything has a cause then God has a cause doesn't have to stop at God 2)everything in the universe has explanation but the universe itself doesn't need an explanation, could have been there forever.

- Matter is eternal - matter of universe exploded= BigBangTheory. Gases produced primitive life. genetic structure of primitive life forms evolved to complex life forms

science can explain the universe without God= agnostic, no longer need God to explain why we're there. Atheists= science explains the world&humans without God is proof to people so God doesn't exist.

- Only God could have made the BigBang at exactly the right second to form universe - Only God made laws of gravity - Only God have made Gases on Earth to react and make life

Some catholics believe Bible and the scientific theories. Bible's story fits with science but one of God's days could be million/billion years

Why does evil and suffering may lead to agnosticism/atheism?
1)If God is omnipotent he can remove suffering from the world 2) if god is omni-benevolent(all good) he must want to remove it = if god exists no evil. as there is evil God is not good/powerful or he doesn't exist.

Moral evil - caused by humans using freewill ie War. Natural evil - suffering not caused by humans ie floods

1) praying for those who suffer (what Jesus did) humans don't understand reason 2) evil is fault of humans misuing free will.3) test to prepare for heaven.4)God has a reason humans r too limited to understand.

what would people that believe evil and suffering prove that God doesn't exists use ?
1)A good God wouldn't have designed a world with volcanoes etc, cant be blamed on humans, God doesn't exist. 2)Omnipotent God wouldn't allow evil humans like Hitler that caused mass genocide, caused suffering God doesn't exist.
