its a sonnet -2 lines to show how he is unable to let go of his son also it is colloquial as it is a funeral poem meaning it is spoken and therefore colloquial but not bad a bit short though

We were told 'On my First Sonne' is a Sonnet, but uncompleted - because it has 12 lines instead of the usual 14 it could reflect how the son was taken before his life was completed.

Thanks, this was helpful :)
