What is Homophonic/Harmonic?
A texture consisting of an accompanied melody

What is Polyphonic/Contrapuntal?
A texture made of 2 or more melodies, heard at the same time. Each melodic line is of more-or-less equal importance

What is Monophonic?
A single melody line without any counterpart

What is canonic?
Imitative texture in which the copied versions of the melody are identical to the original

What does unison mean?
Everyone performs the same note/melody

What are octaves in texture?
