What is Boyle's Law? How is it investigated?
Pressure is inversely proportional to volume. Pressure in a reservoir can be increased, forcing oil into a calibrated tube where the Bourdon gauge measures the air pressure in the reservoir. This is compared to volume.

Boyle's Law doesn't apply under compression due to Van der Waals forces.

Pressure is doubled by halving volume or increasing the mass. Pressure is proportional to density.
