International Migration.
Main countries of origin for UK immigrants are Poland, India and Pakistan. UK emigrants go to Canada, USA and Australia for jobs, retirement and family.

Inter regional Migration.
3300 died in meditterean sea crossings to Italy in 2014. Syria and Eritrea both with vast majority of immigrants from sea crossing that same year. Other routes include Turkey, Greece and West Africa to Spain.

Intraregional Migration.
2012, 1.7 million from EU countries migrated to others (Germany being a popular one) and themain motive being for economic reasons. 600,000 polish in the UK and 40,000 uk emigrants in Poland in 2013.

Young male construction workers from India migrate to Middle East and Dubai in order to seek independence and better quality of life. Female migrants from Africa and China migrant to N.America and Europe to seek less discrimination and better life.

Conflict/persecution increasing refugee numbers.
Number of refugees increased by 3.8m from 2012 to 2014 with Syria being the largest source, Turkey the largest recipient.

Flows in south-south corridors.
2013, South-south flows surpassed south-north flows. Because of labour migration, refugees escaping conflict in Myanmar and South Sudan and restrictive admin barriers for migrants to North, number of fast growing economies and opportunity awareness.

Stability.
Youthful migrants balance population structure of previously ageing one in host country. Economic stability from spending remittances in host country or sending to origin one. Migrants return with new idea of democracy and equality.

Growth.
Migrants in reproductive age groups increase birthdate and pop growth.More youthful population but increased pressure on childhood dependence and resources.

Development.
Reduced pressure on food/water/energy resources/health services and increased employment allows development (albeit dependent on demographic); helped by remittances sent home. UN have migration and development for socio-economic assistance.

Inter regional globalisation.
Highly skilled workers from China/India/Brazil to the USA or India/Pakistan/Bangledesh to Gulf States e.g. Saudi Arabia. Due to high Demand for labour and free flow of remittances.

Intraregional globalisation.
Increase in international migrant stock within ASEAN members states with flows of low-skilled workers from countries such as Cambodia and Myanmar.

Internal Globalisation.
Internal migration flows with economic development concentrated in core areas of urban locations e.g. India and Brazil.
