Step 1:
Fill the ten pots with the same amount of soil (50g), and place ten mung beans in each pot. (More than ten mung bean seeds can be placed in each pot to act as back up in case some of the beans do not germinate. Remove any unwanted plants once germination

Step 2:
Use the marker to label the ten pots as "once" or measurement "twice", followed by one of the following measurement: 20ml, 40ml, 60ml, 80ml or 100ml

Step 3:
Water the pots labelled "once" once a day, and the pots labelled "twice" two times a day, using the amount of water indicated on the pot. Repeat this procedure for the next ten days

Step 4:
Measure the heights of the plants on the 10th day

Step 5:
Calculate the average height of the radish plants in each pot by totaling the heights and dividing it by the number of plants

Step 6:
Record the average height in a suitable table
