List 3 properties of a transition metal.
Form coloured compounds, have high melting points and high density

What is an ore?
A metal oxide found in the earths crust which is economical to extract
4 of 9
How are particles in a metal arranged?
In a lattice

What is the difference between the atoms in a metal and those of an alloy?
Alloy has different atoms, this distorts the lattice and changes the properties of the metal. In a metal, the atoms are the same and arranged in a lattice.
