D shot step-father, D didn't aim the gun. Ratio- jury may infer intent if the result was a natural consequence of his actions and the defendant foresaw this.

Hancock & Shankland (1986)
Ds were miners on strike. Threw concrete block on taxi, killed taxi driver. Ratio- the jury may now infer intent if the result was a probable and natural consequence and the defendant foresaw this.

Nedrick (1986)
D had grudge against woman, poured parrafin through letter box and set house on fire, killed child in fire. Ratio- intention may be inferred if the result was virtually certain to follow and the defendant foresaw this.

D threw baby at pram, hit the wall and died. Ratio- jury not entitled to FIND necessary intention unless they feel death or GBH was a VC as result of Ds actions & D appreciated this was the case.

Chucked V into river, knew he couldn't swim, they left & he drowned. Ratio- confirms Woollin, If a jury foresaw the virtual certainty of death or GBH, they can find intention but do not have to.
