LOCI Method
Items to remember are associated with well-known places such as your house. Taking a mental tour and placing each object in each room - then mentally repeat the tour when the information needs to be recalled.

Peg-Word Method
Use a set of peg words already stroed in memory, i.e. one is a bun, two is a shoe. Then place the items in the peg-words - 'chocolate in a bun'

Jarabek and Standing
Recall is higher if recalled in the same room in which it was encoded.

Geiselman and Glenny
A list of words said by a familiar person either male or femal. After a delay they had to read a list and identify the new and old words. If the gender of the voice matched the one they used before, recall was better.
