Who was Andreas versalius?
He was an anatomist and physician born on the 31st 1541 and he wrote the fabric of the human body

How did Versalius get knowledgeof the body?
He ranssacked cemetries for bodies he could dissect

What is Versalius most known for?
1536- He disproved galen (muscles wern't attatched to the bone and the jawbone was one bone), 1537- he became professor at padua and allowed students to dissect and in 1543 he published the fabric of the human body

Who was William harvey?
He trained at Padua/cambridge uni and became James I and Charles I's doctor

What is William harvey known for?
1616- He calculated that blood couldn't be burned up in muscles and in 1628 he published a book scientifically proving the principle of circulation of blood-ending the belief of Galen's ideas

When was the great plague?
1665

How did people try to get rid of the plague?
People preyed to god, killed cats and dogs, used abracadabra charms, wore masks and used herbal remedies
