They brought their ideas to Britain, They linked health and hygiene, They improved public health.

Everything was overcrowded spreading disease, they didn't look at new theories, they weren't interested in explaining illnesses.

They built aqueducts to transport clean water through out the city,they build public toilets that were linked to sewers which helped to decrease the amount of deaths from some diseases.

It stopped people from performing disections so they had to use animals to get a wider knowledge of the body. Using animals could be unreliable.
