A wide view of the scene - Where more information about a character or situation is required to enhance understanding
Long Shot
1 of 9
Cuts the body just below the waist
Mid shot
2 of 9
Just above the head down to the lower chest (usually only one character in the shot) - used to create emotion and tension, it shows the characters feeling and makes the audience feel involved.
Close up

Cuts right into the characters face (usually focusing on facial features such as the eyes) can create suspense
Extreme close up

The camera is positioned behind the character as if looking over a shoulder - can make the audience feel more involved, like they are really there.
