καὶ ταῦθ᾽ ὑφ᾽ ἡμῶν, ὦ κάκιστ᾽ ἀνδρῶν, παθὼν προύδωκας ἡμᾶς, καινὰ δ᾽ ἐκτήσω λέχη, παίδων γεγώτων:

And you, after receiving this from me, oh the vilest man, you have betrayed me, and you have made a new marriage, though you already have children.

εἰ γὰρ ἦσθ᾽ ἄπαις ἔτι, συγγνώστ᾽ ἂν ἦν σοι τοῦδ᾽ ἐρασθῆναι λέχους.

If you were still childless you could be excused for craving another marriage bed.

ὅρκων δὲ φρούδη πίστις,

Gone is the faith of oaths

οὐδ᾽ ἔχω μαθεῖν εἰ θεοὺς νομίζεις τοὺς τότ᾽ οὐκ ἄρχειν ἔτι ἢ καινὰ κεῖσθαι θέσμι᾽ ἀνθρώποις τὰ νῦν, ἐπεὶ σύνοισθά γ᾽ εἰς ἔμ᾽ οὐκ εὔορκος ὤν.

I cannot understand whether you believe the old gods are no longer in power or that new covenants are established for men today, since you must know that you have not kept your oath to me.

φεῦ δεξιὰ χείρ, ἧς σὺ πόλλ᾽ ἐλαμβάνου καὶ τῶνδε γονάτων, ὡς μάτην κεχρῴσμεθα κακοῦ πρὸς ἀνδρός, ἐλπίδων δ᾽ ἡμάρτομεν.

Feu [Ah] right hand, how fervently you were taken and these knees, how futilely I was clung to in supplication by an evil man. But I have lost my hopes.
