What is percentage change?
% change= change divided by original times 100. E.g. A magazine was sold for 50p last year. This year it is sold for 55p.What is the percentage increase? 55-50=5. 5 dived by 50= (5 divided by 5)=1 (50 divided by 5)=10. 1 divided by 10 times 100=10%

What is the area of a circle?
PI * radius * radius. The radius of a circle is 4cm. Find out the area. 3.14 * 4*4=50.2cm squared

What is circumference?
C=pi times diameter. Find the circumference of a wheel with 50cm. 3.14 times 50=157cm.

What is the formula for exterior angles?
360 divided by n (the number of sides).
4 of 8
What is the formula for interior angles?
(Number of sides-2) times 180. (6-2)=4 times 180=720.Now add up all the numbers. 120+140+130+x+58+x-4+x=444. 720-444=276. Now add all the x's. There are 3x's. So 276 divided by 3=92. Use this to work out the other angles.

What are polygons?
shapes that have the same size, length and angle. Each side is the same.

What are regular and irregular tessellations?
Tessellations are shapes that have a repeating pattern and interlock without any gaps. For example hexagons do tessellate as they are all the same size and they fit together with no gaps.

What is Pythagoras theorom?
a squared +b squared+c squared. The right angle of a triangle is 3cm and the side is 4cm. Find the hypotenuse. 3 *3=9 4 *4=16. (16+9)=25. Now find the square root of 25. Square root of 25=5cm.
