Small wealthy and powerful class of owners of the means of production, their purpose is to make profit

What is the proletariat?
Larger but poorer class of on-owners, they have no means of living other than to sell their labour to the bourgeoisie in exchange for wage or salary.

If she/he performs more labour than needed to produce the goods they need

If he/she performs less labour than needed to produce the goods they consume

The conflict that arises between different social classes. It is generally used to describe the conflict between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat in Marxist view of society

A set of beliefs, ideas and values that represents powerful groups in society, which influence the ideas of the rest of society

An equal society, without social class or conflict, in which the means of production are the common property of all

The estrangement of people from aspects of their human nature as a consequence of living in a stratified society into social classes
