What does the exchanging of the rings symbolise?
They are round and made of a precious metal- symbolising that marriage is a precious gift( the rings are given) and that it should be eternal just as the rings are. When exchanging you say "Take this ring as a sign of my love and fidelity"

"To love and to cherish until death do us part" shows the belief that marriage should be life-long and of course loving both ways. "in sickness and health' In dicates that you should support your partner no matter what their condition. "
