very clever and quick-witted, ruthless compared to Macbeth, disproves the stereotype of women. commits suicide in act 5. “Look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under ‘t.”

The King of Scotland at the start of the play, is kiloled by macbeth in act 2. "What he hath lost noble Macbeth hath won"

king duncan's son, rightful king to scotland, fleed to england when duncan was killed. earnt the trust from other thanes, "give obedience where tis truly owed".

made the three prophecies at the start of the play to macbeth and banquo, which led to macbeths actiona and downfall. "all hail macbeth, thane of glamis, all hail macbeth, thane of cawdor, all hail macbeth that shalt be king hereafter!"
