What is an eye witness testimony (EWT)?
A legal term referring to the use of an eye witness to give evidence in court about the identity of someone committing a crime, or general details about the incident

Most people are inaccurate when reporting numerical details, such as time, speed, and distance (further research shows we are likely to overestimate the duration of complex events)

They knew that they would be questioned about the speed of a moving car, Marshall found that the estimates of speed ranged from 10mph to 50mph, when the car was actually going at 12mph- showing inaccuracy of speed estimates

A leading question suggests to the witness what answer is desired or leads them to the desired answer
