Nil by mouth for 2 hrs prior, A litre of water and hour before the scan, pregnancy check, CT contrast checklist, eGFR check, cannulation

How long is the delay for arterial phase?
30 second delay

60 second delay

purpose of a contrast enhanced CT (CECT)
To enhance contrast between the pathology and surrounding liver.

Stages of a triple phase CT liver scan:
Topogram from diaphragm to iliac crest, Non contrast scan of liver top to bottom, Arterial phase from dome to iliac crest, Venous phase dome to iliac crest, 5-10 min delay phase.
