What is CITES?
An VOLUNTARY international treaty/agreement between different governments on the trade of ENDANGERED living and dead animal/plant specimens

What is CITES aim?
To ensure that illegal trade of particular threatened species doesn’t take place or hinder the species survival

How does CITES achieve their aim?
Legally binding treaty between countries and provides information on the threat level (APPENDICIES) of species i.e. how highly that species is restricted of trade, to advice the individual governments to enforce their own legislation.
