1. State two reasons why a business would need to employ a new member of staff
1. Don't have skills within the business 2. Have too much work for current employees to complete.

You may only need staff for a few hours per week. For example you may need someone to just work on a Saturday.

They are only there a few hours a week so don't always know what has happened within the business the last few days.

6. What is meant by a temporary employee?
This is where an employee is employed for a short period of time. E.g. you may get a short term contract to work in a shop over the Christmas period.

You don't have to pay them for the whole year.

They may not be as dedicated to the business as they're only there for a short period of time.

9. What is meant by internal recruitment?
This is where someone is recruited to a position who already works within the business. This could be a promotion or someone moving departments within the business.

They could put an advert up on their notice board.

This is where someone is recruited who doesn't already work for the business.

They could advertise on the internet, in a newspaper or they could use a recruitment agency.
