A wholesaler buys from the producer and sells in bulk to retailers. Retailers sell in smaller amounts to consumers.

1. Some products consumers look in a certain place e.g. customers go to a supermarket to buy beans. 2. Lower costs as you don't run the store yourself 3. Can reach lots of customers
