Builds up 'credit' with the group in order to slowly building up trust in order to change things and still be liked

Be democratically elected, conform to group norms, be viewed as competent and identify with the group

What is an autocratic leader?
Someone who does not take direction from the group, leads from the front and no opportunity for discussion (usually disliked, but with a high work rate when supervised, but less so when they leave)

What is a democratic leader?
Someone who does listen to feedback and offers opportunity for discussion (often liked and remains a consistent work rate, even in leaders absence)

What is a laissez-faire leader?
A leader who is present, but makes no effort to get involved (often liked, but low work rate, especially in the presence of the leader, work rate increases when leader absent)
