The OK Corall was a gunfight caused by a clash between stolen horses. The Earp brothers killed some of the McLaurey's and Clanton brothers.

What was a consequence of the OK Corall?
As a result, Wyatt Earp and his brothers were branded murderers who had no respect for law and order. This forced them to flee Tombstone in 1881.

The governors, judges and sheriffs were often corrupt and would easily be bribed by local gangs. Also, waiting for a trial was long, and so many vigilantestook it into their own hands. There was no set law and order system.
