What is Broadening and Narrowing?
Broadening is when the meaning of the word broadens- retains old meaning but also takes on new meanings. Narrowing is when a word becomes more specific in it's meaning.

Amelioration is when a word takes on more positve meaning. Pejoration is where a word takes on a more negative meaning.
