What is the Lion Mark?
Safety label awarded for toy safety after tests by the British Toy and Hobby Association.

Shows if it is unsuitable for children under a certain age, usually for something like small parts.

They pay to have the test and if it passes they can fix it on their product.

They feel like they are doing their part to help the planet.

Why do manufacturers want eco-labels?
They are pressured by the government to conform to the 'green' policies.

When are eco-labels awarded to a product?
If an eco-friendly system is used to produce the product or the product is made from recycled, sustainable, organic and natural dye sources.

Why must care symbols be included?
So that a customer can care for the product properly.

What happens if a customer doesn't care for their product as told?
It affects their consumer rights and they probably won't be able to take it back to the shop.
