Linear Motion
When a body moves in a straight or curved line, with all its part moving in the same direction, speed, and distance
1 of 8
Angular Motion
When a body or part of a body moves in a circle/ part of a circle about a particular point- axis of rotation
2 of 8
General Motion
A combination action of linear and angular motion.
3 of 8
Newton's 1st Law (Law of Inertia)
a body continues in a rest or uniform velocity inless acted upon by an external force
4 of 8
Newtons's 2nd Law (Law of Acceleration)
When a force acts on an object, changing the rate of momentum experienced by the object is proportional to the size of the force & takes place in the direction in which the force acts.
5 of 8
Newton's 3rd Law
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
6 of 8
Mass
How much matter is in an object.
7 of 8
Centre Of Mass
The point at which the mass of an object could be concentrated without affecting the behaviour of the body by external forces.
