What is mass spectrometry?
A technique used to find the atomic mass of elememts and compounds.

Coloured lines on a black background. The coloured lines corrospond the emitted photon.

What is the continuous and atomic spectra?
Continuous spectra is when wavelength os light passes uninterrupted, like a rainbow. Atomic spectra is the specific frequencies of light absorbed or emitted.

The hydrogen emission spectrum in visible light.

The hydrogen emission spectrum in unltraviolet light.

Wavelength and frequency. As wavelength increases, frequency decreases.

This is the idea that like behaves like a particle meaning it regards it as packets of energy called photons.
