Why was Sir Ranulph Crewe( Chief justice of the King's branch) dismissed?
Dismissed for refusing to articulate that the loan was legal.

This was the five knights case: They argued for habeus corpus however the Crown were worried if they did go to court then the judge would see through it and go in favour of the gentlemen. It was the King that had the overall decision.
