Harald H went to go and wait for hostages at Stamford Bridge.

The Battle of Stamford Bridge
Harold G vs Harald H
Harald H is waiting for hostages and Harold G starts the battle.
Harold G won and Harald H was killed with an arrow through the eye.

The Battle of Hastings
Harold G vs William Duke of Normandy
William said he made an agreement with Edward to become King.
William killed Harold G.
William crowned King of England.
England became Norman.

Submission of the Earls
William wanted the Earls to submit to him but they wouldn't.
William destroyed villages and went around murdering people.
Marched to London but couldn't get in because of the wall.
Murdered more people and destroyed more villages
Earls eventually submitte

The Revolt of Edwin and Morcar
William returned home to Normandy as he felt England was secure enough.
William promised Edwin that he could marry his daughter but went back on his word.
Earls didn't like the Geld Tax which made them angry, so they decided to fight back.

Edgar the Aethling and the Rebellions of the North
Series of Rebellions started in the North.
Robert Cumin dies.
Uprising starts in York but William defeats them.
Danish Fleet invade on East Coast.
Danish combined with Anglo Saxons tried to rebel but they were paid to go away.

Hereward the Wake and the Rebellion at Ely.
Danes arrived in East Anglia and met Hereward.
Hereward is upset because his land had been given to the Normans.
Danes and Hereward raid church and are successful.
Danes leave.
Morcar comes to join Hereward, William attacks.
Morcar sent to jail for life

Harrying of the North
North was completely destroyed by William.
Salt was ploughed into the ground to stop crops growing.
60% of Yorkshire was classed as waste.
Reduced likelihood of Danish Invasion as they wouldn't be able to get through and survive.
