Animal, Plant and Bacteria cells

?
What are Eukaryotic cells? Give examples.
Eukaryotic cells are cells that contain a nucleus. Animal cells and Plant cells are both Eukaryotic cells.
1 of 12
What are Prokaryotic cells? Give an example.
Prokaryotic cells are cells that do not have a nucleus. Bacteria cells are prokaryotic cells because they are unicellular.
2 of 12
What is the nucleus for?
The nucleus contains the DNA, which controls the activities of the cell.
3 of 12
What is the mitochondria for?
The mitochondria is where the most energy is released by respiration.
4 of 12
What is the cell membrane for?
The cell membrane controls movement in and out of the cell.
5 of 12
What are the ribosomes for?
The ribosomes are where protein synthesis occurs.
6 of 12
What is the cell wall for?
The cell wall strengthens the cell.
7 of 12
What is the vacuole for?
The vacuole is filled with sap to help keep the cell turgid.
8 of 12
What are chloroplasts for?
Chloroplasts contain chlorophyll, which absorbs light energy for photosynthesis.
9 of 12
What is the chromosonal DNA for?
The chromosonal DNA carries most of the genetic information.
10 of 12
What is the plasmid DNA for?
The plasmid DNA forms small loops and carries extra information.
11 of 12
What is the flagella for?
The flagella helps the cell move along the body.
