Why is a healthy diet important?
*To Improve the immune system *Less chance of heart disease *For growth & repair

*Carbohydrates *Protein *Vitamins + Minerals * Fats * Fibre *Water

Why do we need carbohydrates and where do we get them from?
We need carbohydrates for the majority of our energy and this is for a long burst; we can get it from bread, pasta and rice

Why do we need protein and where do we get them from?
We need protein for growth and repair; we can get it from fish,meat and nuts.

Why do we need vitamins + minerals and where do we get them from?
We need vitamins and minerals to help strengthen the immune system; different vitamins + minerals are needed for different things. Vitamin A in cod liver oil and egg yolks is needed for eyesight and growth.
