What is the age range to be a jury member?
18-70

To be a jury memeber you must be..
Between 18-70, be on the elctronical register, resident in the UK for atleast 5 years since the age of 13

Who are the people that are disqualified from jury service?
Those with a criminal conviction who have recieved a jail term or community sentence within the last 10 years. Imprisonment for 5 years or more or offenders on bail

Who are ineligibile?
People resident in hospital or have mental illness

Defereal is..
Being excused from jury service untill a later date. A 2 week slot in which you must do your service. Allowed if you have an already booked holiday, funeral, exam ect.

What is meant by Laymans' equity?
When juries find a person innocent, out of sympathy. For example R v. Owen

What is meant by 'jury nobbling'?
Trying to bribe or threatening a jury member so they come back with a 'non-guilty' verdict
