Starting place for all cases. Deals with a limited number of civil cases. EG: tax arrears

The court of last resort in the UK. A case will only go to SC if theres an issue of public importance.

Deals with civil cases concerning EU law.

Magistrates, Crown

Briefly explain what the magistrates court does in criminal cases
Minor offences such as speeding, ALL cases start here and can then be appealed to higher courts. Magistrates court can also make decision on bail.

Deals with more serious crimes (****, murder etc). Has a judge and jury.
