Beliefs on the Torah and Talmud
Orthadox - divine origin, taken literally, should not be changed to modern views. Liberal Jews - people's interpretation of God's word, can be interpreted to modern views

Beliefs on Shakhinah
God's presence on earth in reference to the tabernacle (the Temple Walls in Jerusalem. OR Shekhinah is present when praying or discussing Torah

Beliefs about the mitzvot
Orthodox - strictly follow mitzvot. Liberal - less strictly followed, some mitzvot can't be followed as they refer to the Temple. But following helps unit them with God

Beliefs on the afterlife (Gan Eden or Gehinnom)
Focus on life on earth. Some believe - afterlife is in Gan Eden (place of sunshine OR just spiritually close to God) or to Gehinnom (place of punishment OR purification).

some see it as motivation for good behaviour / we should do go just because it is good

Beliefs on the afterlife
Progressive - no afterlife as it is not mentioned in the Torah. Others - we live on in how we influence others during our lives. Many Jews - believe in a physical resurrection during Messianic Age

Beliefs on the Messiah
Some Jews - Messiah will bring peace, prosperity, establish God's kingdom on Earth, human, male descendant on King David, spread God's laws, reunite Jews, rebuild Temple. + Elijah will come just before Messiah OR no messiah = bring peace themselves

Beliefs on the death during the Messianic Age
everyone will be ressurected to be judged OR only the righteous will be resurrected

Beliefs on the resurrection during the Messianic Age
Orthodox - physical body will be resurrected (no organ donations/ cremation). Progressive - spiritual resurrection (allow organ donations/ cremations)

Beliefs on Dietary Laws
Orthodox - keep kashrut (kosher). Progressive - leave it up to the individual, only observe some, do it at home but non-kosher away

Beliefs on Bar/Bat Mitzvah
Orthadox - girls dont have a bat mitzvah as they don't have the same responsibilities. Progressive - both boys and girls have bar/bat mitzvahs

Beliefs on the covenant with Abraham
All males should be circumcised. Many Jews - see the state of Israel as the fulfillment of the covenant. Orthodox - shouldn't have created the state themselves, should have waited for God's action. Progressive- supportive of Israel after Holocaust
