it is regarded of active worship. It is done by both genders. Yeshiva is the school of Talmudic study. In some orthodox, torah study it will take place in the morning.

worship?
God told moses to build a tabernacle, a portable temple, where God would dwell within. It is kept in the presence of God with the Jews. Today it happens in the synagogue. Light shows the presence of God is there.

prayer?
pray alone or part as a group called minyan, which is 10 or more people. Prayers like the Kaddish and Barachu is only said in the minyan group. Prayer can lead to a spiritual connection with the divine presence.

is strict law. Justice is tempted by his mercy. Both qualities are perfectly balanced.

a conceptual approach to the rabbinical teachings and the sacred writings. Both genders can sit together and perform the prayers. Women arn't allowed this; strictly for men.
