Promised Land & Covent- Abraham
The 1st covent between God & Abraham.Many Jews see the state of Israel as the promise land. Abraham is referred to as the father of Judaism.God told abraham to leave his home and go to cannon(promise land). God promised abraham(wife sarah) a child.

He said he would protect them and their decedents-> in return God asked Abraham to obey him and lead by example. All male descendants need to be circumcized.

Shekinah
Gods presence in the world. Used to describe Gods presence in the tabernacle(final wall in Jewish temple still standing Jews believe the Shekinah is still present-so they pray towards the wall. Jews believe the Shekinah is present when praying.

Pikuach Nefesh is the principle that the preservation of human life takes precedence over anything else, this is because life is sacred.

Dietary Laws
Given at mount Siniad with 613 mitzvoth from God. Meat and dairy can't be eaten together. Meat should only be eaten from animals that have a clover hoof and don't chew the cud. Birds of pray can't be eaten. Only seafood with fins and scales.
