Alcohol Addiction

Results...
Found the more levels of 'serious misconduct', the more severe levels of Alcohol dependence. This shows a positive correlation of the dependence of alcohol and aggression in prison.

Deprivation Model
It suggests that the prisoners agg is due to being in prison and the deprivation of the real world is what is causing the aggressive behaviour.

Research:
Studied by Sykes, found deprivation of Liberty+Autonomy as common examples. Prisoners are unable to make their own choices + are powerless tot he prison system, Therefore act on their frustrations through aggressive behaviour.
