10 of 33
How can you prevent a strain?
Warming up properly to prepare the muscles and increase the elasticity .
11 of 33
How do you treat strains?
Rest, apply ice and elevate the body part to prevent bruising. Also, compression helps to reduce blood flow to the injury to reduce swelling
12 of 33
What is a sprain?
A stretching or tearing of a ligament near a joint cause by a wrenching or twisting of a joint
13 of 33
What is a sporting example where a sprain could happen?

You need to warm up and cool down properly before and after an activity .
19 of 33
How would you treat overuse?
You would cut back the intensity of an activity, the duration and frequency and use ice after.
20 of 33

27 of 33
How would you treat a torn cartilage?
