What did the Sioux tribe use the Buffalo for?
Meat- food, Skins- wool, clothing,shoes, harness, vessels, tipi, Sinews, thread ropes, bowstrings, Bones, Dung for fuel.

Land was never owned, Generosity was expected, No one person was in charge, Most men became warriors, everything had a spirit, Mediecin men had contact with spiritual powers and could read visions. Circles- they saw everything as being connected.

Agriculture,, finding food, tanning buffalo hides, making Tipi, making most of the finished goods. They were responsible for the Tipi.

The dangerous work, hunting and fighting.

Poverty, disease, persecution, gold, a fresh start, fertile land, tales from mountain men, overpopulation in the east.

River crossing- wagons could tip over, Desert heat, Mountains, Disease, Cold, Indian attack although they were rare,
