What is data compression?
Images on a website or presentation can take time to load so it's best to used compressed images. This makes the file size smaller so they load quicker

What are three advantages of compressing data?
More files can be stored on the storage medium, much faster to upload images to a webpage, much faster for others to download it from a webpage, faster to view the image or edit, faster to transfer as an email attachment

What are three disadvantages of compressing data?
Images aren't as high quality, sound quality is not as high, compression means it's faster to transfer movie files which causes problems with people illegally copying movies
