Original method for connecting computers. (Modern is Cat5) Cable is connected by network interface cards. Ethernet speeds runs from basic (10Mb), fast (100Mb)and Gigabit(1000Mb)

Network is the ability to connect computers to the internet. LAN (local area network) connects computers in the same house, they share the same internet connection.
