What is hot desking?
Hot desking is a work space sharing model in which employees outnumber desks. In some such environments, each work station has its own computer and the worker logs into a virtual desktop.

no licensing fees, unlimited copying of the software, can open and save files in many formats.

What are the disadvantages of open source software?
The software may not be acceptable which is put on by other people, therefore phishing or hacking can occur, If the website fails, then work will be lost and deleted, or they could introduce a price.
