what happens during an ice age?
ice covers a larger part of the Earth's surface and sea levels are lowered.

What is freeze thaw weathering?
rainfall or meltwater gets into cracks in the rock. at night water freezes expands and causes the crack to get larger. Eventually over a long period the rock breaks away.

what is plucking and abrasion?
rock gets frozen to the bottom of the glacier. when the ice moves down hill it plucks the rock away(plucking). the fragments get carried by the glacier and rub against the bed rock. which is called abrasion and is known as the sand paper effect.
